- FIRST FLOOR -
LIVING ROOM
As soon as you enter the property you're in the heart of the house, the focal point is the ‘poele’, our wood burner, which keeps the house incredibly cosy in colder months. In this area of France it’s almost frowned upon to burn anything other than oak which Pierre can drop off on request.
In the living room you’ll also find a cupboard packed with a whole host of books, games and toys. It’s the most relaxing space to unwind in the evenings after dinner, that is if you can tear yourself from watching the stars outside!
KITCHEN
As keen cooks ourselves, we’ve ensured guests have everything they need to cook perfect meals at home. Very importantly are a range of Opinel knives, which are regularly sharpened!
We’ve also recently added a lovely new Smeg cooker which is housed next to a very old and very beautiful kitchen cabinet.
- SECOND FLOOR -
MASTER BEDROOM
This beautiful large double bedroom provides ample space and a lovely view over the swimming pool. We’ve recently worked with a local carpenter who has crafted a beautiful bedhead from local oak, with a pair of Anglepoise lamps for a bedtime read. Each bedroom comes with fresh white towels and beach towels for use outside on the sun loungers.
SECOND DOUBLE BEDROOM
Our favourite room for stargazing, the king size bed provides a lovely view of the night sky, one of the clearest and unpolluted in France. There’s a large and incredibly old wardrobe with plenty of room for storage, you’ll wonder how it actually got in the room to start with!

A room often favoured by younger guests, this room has two single beds, one a trundle.
It’s lovely and quiet, being positioned on the other side of the house away from the outdoor dining area. Recently fitted blackout blinds also ensure that once children are asleep they’ll stay that way into the morning!
BATHROOM
Positioned at the top of the stairs the bathroom provides a sink, WC and a bath to soak away any aches and pains from a day on trails, or pounding the cobbled and hilly streets around the Aveyron.
- GROUND FLOOR -
SITTING ROOM
A lovely area to retreat to in the height of Summer, the downstairs living room has a flatscreen TV, blu-ray player and WiFi router.
In response to shifts in remote working and feedback from guests, from May 2023 we will have a Starlink router installed, providing internet download speeds of up to 250MB, enabling remote working and high speed content streaming.
La Peyrière is a retreat from urban life, which is why you may be glad of no satellite TV, however we do have a very good stock of DVDs! The downstairs fridge is a handy place to store wine and beer.
BATHROOM
Next door to the sitting room is the downstairs bathroom, which has a fantastic walk in shower built from local granite.
TWIN BEDROOM
For many, the downstairs twin bedroom is handy room to accommodate guests. It’s cooler than elsewhere in the house and conveniently situated next to the bathroom. Its lack of stairs makes it ideal for both younger and older guests, it even has its own entrance from the front of the house.
